May is miracle month and in preparation for that, it is good to get rid of unwanted items, have a yard sale, or just send stuff to charitable organizations which are happy to take those no longer useful items off your hands.

Many years ago, before television, there was a radio show called, “Fibber McGee & Molly.” Fibber had a closet full of stuff. It was always exciting when he would open the door of that closet. Although we couldn’t see it, the noise of everything falling out tickled our imaginations.

Many people have Fibber McGee closets. They may be actual closets full of all kinds of things that have been stuffed into them. Some people have mental Fibber McGee closets in that they have crammed into their minds, a lot of useless or no-longer-working ideas that need to be clean out.

Some of those are wrong beliefs, old resentments, guilt feelings, grief, feelings of inferiority, and beliefs in separation from God. When you let go of old beliefs, you clear the way for a greater inflow of Divine Wisdom, Life, Love, Peace and Power. These manifest as joy, peace, harmony, health and prosperity, and miracles. Positive Prayer

All prayers are answered by the Father. Whenever a prayer remains unanswered in the manifest realm, you may be sure that somewhere there is a closed door between you and God; for every prayer of every soul represents some need that, in its purified form, God is seeking to push forth into the manifest world. This loving One is ever seeking to manifest Himself through His children as health, joy, beauty, and wealth.

Living in the same city as the author, she sought him out and asked him if he would help her. He was happy to oblige. Meeting weekly for a while, he assured her that everything in the book was true and she could be just as prosperous as she desired to be. After listening to her for a while, the author realized that this lady had a very negative, limiting vocabulary that needed to be changed. Gently, but firmly, he encouraged her to change every negative word to the positive opposite. For instance, change “poor” to “rich,” “hard” to “easy,” “limited” to “unlimited,” and “lack” to “abundance.”

This lady was a good student. Although it required a lot of discipline at first, she persisted. She opened her mind to new, prospering ideas and was guided to use what little money she had managed to save, and borrowing money from friends, she open a small gift shop. She made a covenant with God to tithe at least ten percent of her profit to His work. Putting a lot of love into her new shop, people loved her and the beautiful things she made available to them. From day one, her shop prospered.

The golden key to true prosperity is to refrain from all negatives and to focus the great energy on the positive, which is practicing the Presence of God. God knows how to prosper you. Your part is to discipline your thinking and speaking to only positive, prospering thoughts and words. Love the Source and love to think and speak prosperously, and your prosperity will grow in wonderful ways. – Lovingly, Rev. John

Change From Within

A several weeks ago, some “little varmints” tried to attack my body. As usual, I made them feel very unwelcome as I affirmed over and over: “Health and strength and healing power vibrate through me hour after hour,” plus other healthy words. I also got a good massage and a Reiki treatment, and went to my Chiropractor who is trained in acupuncture and is very knowledgeable about herbs. Those “little varmints” never did “set up house-keeping” in my body and in only three days, I was feeling fine.

Of course, I am constantly speaking healthy words as I affirm life, health, strength, peace, joy and perfection for my mind and body. I call it, preventive “medicine.” It is the best kind and works far better than drugs or “flu shots.”

As I have mentioned before, the healthiest words you can use are Divine Love. The more you affirm that Divine Love is now moving in and through your mind and body, the happier and healthier you are because Divine Love is positively the highest vibration, and it is always available. Golden Keys to Answered Prayers…

There are many ways in which we limit our capacity to receive answers to our prayers. Fear, doubt, and worry always close the inlet through which the answer would flow into visibility, for they carry us farther from the Giver instead of into His presence. The answer desired when the prayer is offered may never be manifested, for as long as we are seeking things, our desires change with the fashions, and there is not the perfect pattern for substance to follow. Or the answer may be contorted and unrecognizable when it does come into manifestation because of a lack of faith and a wavering vision. Miracles are happening! – It is amazing the miracles that keep happening in my life! Since I wrote to you and asked for prayer support, one miracle after another has happened. First, my husband stopped smoking. Then, our son who had been having difficulty in school and wanted to drop out, began to change his thinking. His grades have improved and he now has a new attitude toward himself and school. Also, our finances have substantially improved. We have our own business and after a few years of struggle, it is now beginning to prosper. We attribute that to our beginning to tithe and looking to God as our Source. Here are some practical ways to spiritually boost your prosperity.

Love people. While your supply comes from the one Source, God, it is people through whom it manifests.

Love what you do. If your job or work is not the best, love it and that will prepare you for something you do love. If you still can’t love your present work, leave it.

Love God, the Source. Practice the Presence of God in all that you think, feel, say and do.

Love money. Money is made of the same substance/energy that you and everybody and everything are made from: Love.

Love to give and to receive. When you do, you give your best and God’s best is given to you, and more abundantly, too.

Love to be helpful. When you help others, it is love in expression and it always comes back to you in multiplied blessings.

Speak lovingly. This means to refrain from complaining, criticism and condemnation and to speak approvingly, upwardly and positively.

Live Life Lovingly. Do everything you can to be loving, kind, thoughtful, generous and harmonious. When you Live Life Lovingly, you positively contribute to the peace and prosperity of everyone on Mother Earth, and we all benefit. Thank you! – Lovingly, Rev. John

It pays to love your body regardless of how it may appear. A loved body is a healthier body. Regularly thank your body for serving you so well. If it appears to not be serving you well, begin thanking it for doing so. It will happily cooperate with your new paradigm. Thanksgiving is love in expression and adds to the positive vibration of your body.

Forgiveness is positive energy because it is the activity of Divine Love. Forgive yourself and others quickly and completely.

Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, said that it is very beneficial to meditate regularly on the love idea with the prayer, “Divine Love, manifest thyself in me.” He also said there should be periods of mental concentration on love because this produces a positive love current which will break up thoughts of hate and negativity and render them null and void.

What Jesus Christ Taught

The principle points in the Jesus Christ teaching are the Omnipresence and Availability of God, and the belief that because God not only transcends His universe but is everywhere imminent in it – that He indwells in it – it must in reality reflect His perfection. It is prayer which opens the door of the soul so that the Divine Power may work its will to harmony and peace.

Jesus Christ taught that physical ailments are really maladies of the soul out-pictured in or on the body, and that with the healing of the soul accomplished, the healing of the body must follow. The soul is vivified by drawing closer to God through prayer and meditation, and by changing one’s outer conduct to bring it more completely in harmony with God’s law.

Healthy Ideas

Meat eating is just a habit that has been passed on by an affluent society. Frances Moor Lappe made an amazing discovery in 1968, according to her book, Diet of a Small Planet. She discovered that protein fed to animals, which could have been eaten by humans, would come close to the whole world’s protein deficit. We are feeding good grains to animals just to fatten them in order for Americans to satisfy their fleshly desires, when the rest of the world could be fed with that same amount of grain. I have found that a little meat can go a long way. Once you begin eating vegetable protein, your body doesn’t crave meat.

You feel satisfied because your digestive system is not working so hard to digest the meat. Meat can slow down the healing of the body.

Eating more protein than necessary can cause problems within the body. Many people ask the question, “How can I be sure I am giving my family enough protein, if I don’t serve meat?” The best way to answer that is to look at statistics. You are probably getting twice as much protein right now than your body needs. And, besides, meat is not the best source of protein according to the protein scale. Have you ever gone into a home that was lacking in love? Who wants to stay in a consciousness of hate, criticism, fear, coldness, or negativity? When I have entered a home like that, if I could not leave immediately, I would bless the place with thoughts of love and affirm love, light and peace for the home and its occupants, and leave as soon as possible.

A good exercise, when there is an appearance of illness or other in-harmony such as worry, depression or lack of money in a home is to open the doors and windows and let fresh air in as you bless this home with copious amounts of love. Even if it is freezing outside, this exercise does something mystical and magical to that home. It will warm up again quickly and will have a wonderful feeling about it.

Love will change any negative condition into a positive one. If you have a relationship with another person whose behavior is less than the best, quietly love that person. He or she is really asking for love.

The old, erroneous teaching that God is a kind of vengeful, record-keeping, often angry human-like Being in the sky is not valid. It is unscientific and is simply not true. God is pure Love – Love Energy!

Yes, Love is the one reality. It is totally present all the time, works miracles and its nature is harmony. Every day, through the month of February, really open your mind and heart to Love – Divine love – and invite it to have its way in your mind, heart and life. Don’t be surprised when miracles begin happening to you! Miracles are what Love does best! – Lovingly, Rev. John

A Little of Humor …

While delivering lunches to the elderly with me, my 4-year-old was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of the seniors.  I found her staring at a pair of dentures soaking in a glass of water.  I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions.  She merely turned and whispered, “The tooth fairy will never believe this!”

Give what you want to receive. If you want to be a millionaire, give at least a million dollars worth of loving service.

Act as though you are already a millionaire, for acting the part attracts that to you. It is the Law of Attraction in prosperous action.

Practice the Gratitude Attitude daily. Give thanks for everything. Gratitude is Love in expression. Gratitude causes you to live close to God, the Source. The more grateful you are toward God, the easier and faster it is for you to prosper, and greater is your supply. You are happier and healthier, too.

Know that Substance is that from which everything comes. Know that Substance always fulfills your desires according to the claim you make upon it. Consciously relate and resonate with Substance through heartfelt gratitude.

Tithe. Regularly and gratefully, give back to God 10% of your whole income and use the rest for other things. Tithing causes the 90% to go further. Make it a habit to put God first, financially, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how far your money goes.

Daily saturate your mind with prospering ideas. Read online articles, such as on both of our websites:  www.MoreProsperityForYou and  www.GoldenKeyMinistry.com. Live Life Lovingly. Put lots of love into everything you do making sure what you do is motivated by love. Prosperity’s Demonstration

The Chest – Legend tells of a vagabond who begged for bread at a rich man’s house. The wanderer was given food and a small, wooden chest. The rich man told the beggar that it would provide for his needs for the rest of his life, for it contained the riches of the universe.

Although he possessed the chest, the poor man was unable to open it. One day, hungry and disgusted with his life, the man determined that he would no longer look to others for his livelihood. With this thought, the box opened and within it was bread, water, and one gold coin. Each day thereafter the man looked to the box to provide for him, and he was supplied for seven days. On the eighth day, the box would not open.

Over the course of time, the man learned to look to God as his source, and the box opened and supplied his needs for seven years, but then it would not open again. Although the man was curious about the remaining treasures in the box, he was not concerned, for he had discovered his source.

Early one evening, he noticed a family before the charred ruins of their house. The wanderer, now a man rich in Spirit, desired to help them, and with this thought the box opened. Inside was a note with this inscription: Give the family the box. Tell them that with its contents they can rebuild not only their house, but their lives.

We mistakenly believe that prosperity is demonstrated when we receive – when money comes to us or we get a new job. This is not true. Prosperity’s demonstration is giving. Our wise Creator has made giving a vital part of life’s expression. We breathe in and receive oxygen, but it is just as important to exhale. The farmer wants to reap a bountiful harvest, but first he must sow the seeds.

Sowing is an act of faith. It is the farmer’s demonstration. The harvest is nature’s demonstration. The fruit on the vine and the grain on the ear are nature’s giving to the farmer and the world.

Giving does not depend on what we have. Giving depends upon our understanding of our spiritual nature.

The Truth is when we give, the one who receives is blessed, but the giver receives the greater blessing. The one who receives has something tangible to point to – the gift. Forgiveness is great healing power. This is true because anyone who does not forgive, is often angry, resentful, bitter, and entertains thoughts of revenge or getting even. When one dwells on these things, they destroy one’s peace of mind. Not only that, they set up a negative, toxic vibration in the body.

Healing is experienced through the practice of the presence of God. God is love. When anyone is angry and resentful, and does not forgive, they are not practicing the presence of God. The Golden Key to health and healing is to practice the presence of God. In other words to give one’s whole thought to God as Love. I do not mean to think only of Love and nothing else, but to consciously let Love permeate your thoughts, feelings and action. This will assure peace of mind and a healthy body. When I speak of Love, I mean the Love that God is: Divine Love.

Your Subconscious Tends Life-ward

Over 90 percent of your mental life is subconscious, so men and women who fail to make use of this marvelous power live within very narrow limits.

Your subconscious processes are always life-ward and constructive. Your subconscious is the builder of your body and maintains all its vital functions. It is on the job 24/7 and never sleeps. It is always trying to help and preserve you from harm.

Your subconscious mind is in touch with infinite life and boundless wisdom, and its impulses and ideas are always life-ward. The great aspirations, inspirations, and visions for a grander and nobler life spring from the subconscious. Your subconscious speaks to you in intuitions, impulses, hunches, intimations, urges, and ideas, and it is always telling you to rise, transcend, grow, advance, adventure, and move forward to greater heights.

Your subconscious will make and keep you well. The important thing is to feed it positive, loving thoughts and words. You build a new body every eleven months. Change your body by changing your thoughts and keeping them changed. It is normal to be healthy. It is abnormal to be ill. Negative thoughts tear down and destroy your body. You will be wise to give time to prayer and meditation as you contemplate the New Year and what you would really like to accomplish in it. Better yet, seek divine guidance and listen to what God has in store for you and open your mind to His counsel, guidance and help in achieving what is really important. Then write your list of desired goals for 2013.

Another excellent thing to do is write a Letter to God, and send it to us.You have already received instructions for doing this in our Happy New Year email. If you didn’t, ask and we will send them to you.

Have a daily talk with God as you open your mind to His guidance, listen, and then follow the guidance you receive as you go about the activities of each day.

Be grateful for all your blessings including those you expect. Have an attitude of expectancy and give thanks for and accept each new day as your golden opportunity to “be about your Father’s business.” His “business” for you is to be peaceful, loving, kind, wise, helpful, growing spiritually, and doing what is yours to do.

Refrain from condemnation, criticism and complaining. Do not give in to fear, anger or worry. Rather, focus on love, acceptance, forgiveness, peace, harmony, joy, beholding the Christ in yourself and others. This is practicing the presence of God, the truly happiest thing you can do.

Do your best and expect the best. Act as though God is within you, guiding you in all you do. The Truth is, God IS within you. God IS guiding you every moment. Practice thanksgiving. Declare often: Thank You, God, I am grateful.

Live Life Lovingly. This is your golden key to real happiness. It is a great way to experience a very happy year – one day at-a-time. Go for it with all your heart! – Lovingly, Rev. John

Be Well, Strong, Successful & Prosperous!

Sometimes I have written a letter to God, when I have wanted to be sure that something would have divine consideration, love, and attention. I have written the letter in the assurance that the eyes of the loving and all-wise Father were seeing my letter and knowing my heart and working to find ways to bless me and help me to grow. So I suggest that you write a letter to God, putting into words that which your heart holds and hopes for. Have faith that God is seeing your letter and your heart, and that divine wisdom, power, freedom, and love is yours to accomplish that which will meet your needs.

After you have placed your heart’s desires with God, don’t be anxious, worried, or negative. Do not look for signs that He has responded. Busy yourself with the work God gives and with study and prayer develop into a real companion and real radiator of happiness and inspiration. As you do so you become the radiating center toward which those are drawn who will add to your happiness and cooperate with you in making your life a beautiful success.
