Emmet Fox tells of the time when right after he arrived in America from England that he went into a restaurant, sat down at a table and waited, and waited. All around him people were enjoying their food, but he was not. He didn’t understand why until he finally realized that he was in a cafeteria. This concept had not yet appeared England so it was new to him.
He saw there was plenty of food to be obtained, but one had to go and claim it for oneself, or go without. When Emmet Fox got in the food line, he was able to pick and choose whatever appealed to him.
The universe operates like a cafeteria. There is more than enough for you and everyone, but we must mentally claim our share for ourselves. Many people are unaware, it seems, of how the system works and they go without while others enjoy the fulfillment of their desires.
The way to claim your good is to go directly to God, the source, in prayer and ask (affirm) for what you desire. Mentally immerse your consciousness in the vast, unlimited universal riches available to you. (All Life, Love, Wisdom, Power, Peace, Energy, Substance, Strength) Then affirm your oneness with all that is and claim it for yourself. The next step is to give thanks as though you do have it, which you do. Act as though it is already so. Believe you receive. Thus you activate the riches of God causing them pour into your mind, life and affairs. In other words, you claim your good. It is nothing less than the Law of Attraction in action. – Lovingly, Rev.
