Your Great Adventure
When Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, it was a time of personal struggle for him in that he was in the process of letting go of his human desire and moving into the greater experience. The Crucifixion experience was no less desirable, yet it was endurable for him because he kept his focus on the greater experience he knew was coming. He was, of course, victorious in achieving his ultimate goal.
Unfortunately, more attention is given to his apparent struggles and difficulties leading up to, and including the Crucifixion.
The same thing is true now. Today, many people are faced with seemingly insurmountable, mostly financial, difficulties. They are having their own kind of crucifixion experiences. The good news is that regardless of how bad things may look, there is always a way out, and up. The inclination of the universe is always toward a better, happier, healthier and more abundant life.
If you are having difficulties, you will do a most wise thing to think of your experience as your Great Adventure.
Emmet Fox wrote: When you are in difficulties, look upon the overcoming of them as a great adventure. Resist the temptation to be tragic, to give way to self pity or discouragement; and approach the problem as though you were an explorer seeking a path through Darkest Africa, or an Edison working to overcome difficulties in connection with a new invention.
There is always light at the end of a tunnel. In truth, there is light at both ends. This means that you go from light to light. The darkness in the tunnel is not reality. According to Genesis, God said, “Let there be light.” He didn’t say “let there be darkness.” Light is real.
Regardless of the apparent seriousness of a situation, when you seek the light-seek divine guidance-it is always given to you because it is light that you seek and are moving toward.
Do not be dismayed about what seems to be. Know that as you persist in seeking the light, the Great Adventure of discovering the greater good God has for you will carry you to victory and a happy, fulfilling life. This is God’s plan for you. If it were anything different, He would have told you. God is love and is forever moving you toward love (light). Accept this as your destiny and be at peace. Great good is in store for you! – Lovingly, Rev. John

No external condition or circumstance can hold man in bondage when he makes mental contact with God. – Charles Fillmore
The unforgivable sin is simply the closed mind that is made up, that will not let the Spirit reveal new Truths. – Eric Butterworth

A Little Humor. . .
Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale? Why do we constantly return to the refrigerator in the hope that something new to eat will have materialized? Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end you first try? How do those dead bugs get into those closed light fixtures? Why is it there are no father-in-law jokes? If at first you don’t succeed, should you try the way your wife told you to do it?

Love does Wonders! – Since I have received the “Practice the Presence,” the study of it has changed things for me dramatically!!! As well as your book: Be what you are: Love. I have studied Emmet Fox for many years and felt I had the knowledge side of things very developed, but I was missing the most important one Love!!!! I have struggled with this for years. Your meditation, Love is Freedom From Fear, has absolutely put me in touch with the inner fountain of love. It has changed things considerably in only 3 or 4 days.
I now realize the importance Dr. Fox put on love. Your writings helped me get in touch with this. I have been praying about this and was guided to your site. (I wonder how that happened!!!) As always my prayer was answered and I was guided to the thing that would help me the most. I now Practice the Presence of Love (God) and it has done wonders. Thank you and bless you. – J. H. in Texas
