Stress, unforgiveness, and anger cause inharmony in the body. Impatience, fear and worry do the same.
Have you said, or heard someone else say, “I’m just worried sick!” or “That just burns me up!” Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, said: “When you are angry, you cook your corpuscles.”
The golden key to a healthy body and to heal an ill body is relaxation. You are wise to spend some extra time in quiet meditation each morning in which you relax your mind and body and affirm the loving presence of God. Then go about your day, practicing God’s presence as peace. Remind yourself often to relax, let go, and let God with this statement: I now relax, let go, and let God. Or, peace, be still.
As you do this, you will discover that everything goes more smoothly and more actually gets done. If you experience a healing need, the best course of action is in-action. Do whatever seems appropriate in a relaxed manner as you let God do His perfect work. God works through doctors, nurses and personal care-givers. Most of all, God is the healing, restoring activity in your mind and body. It is nothing less than Divine Love doing what it is designed to do, and works best when not influenced by fear, worry and anxiety. Be at peace. Gratefully affirm and accept that God is healing your body now. Relax and heal. – Lovingly, Rev. John
The your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly. – Isaiah 58:8
Myths & Truths about Tithing
This is the second of several articles to clear up some misunderstandings about Tithing and to help you reap the best results.
Myth – It is okay to pay bills with your tithe money.
Truth – Tithe money should never be used to pay bills or other financial obligations. If this is done, it is out of fear and a lack of understanding of the Tithing Principle.
Myth – One should tithe because it is required by his church.
Truth – The tithe is always given voluntarily, never because a church requires this. It is spiritually incorrect to demand tithes from anyone for any reason.
Myth – When you tithe, you may be afraid you will not have enough money to pay financial obligations.
Truth – When you tithe, you may expect to be divinely protected and provided for. There is nothing to fear when you tithe in love, understanding and gratitude because you know that God is adequate to provide for you.
