Start by fasting from unhealthy, negative and debilitating thoughts and words
Lent begins soon and is a traditional time of prayer and fasting. It is good to fast from food, especially that which isn’t the best or most healthful for the body. However, it is more important to fast spiritually which means to fast from unhealthy, negative and debilitating thoughts and words.
Lent is a good time to fast from what I call the three terrible C’s. These are: Criticism, Complaining and Condemnation.
To do this, make a commitment to listen to what you are thinking and saying, and make sure that you completely refrain from Criticism, Complaining and Condemnation for a 40-day period.
A woman who was a three terrible C’s “expert” decided to fast from this bad habit. At first, it was quite difficult for her to keep her commitment, so ingrained was that bad habit. However, with persistence it became easier and she soon realized that her health improved, she slept better, she was more loving and gentle toward others, and people treated her better. Her prosperity began improving, too.
Although this is a good thing to do for Lent, it can be done any time and the results are always good. Those who do this 40-day spiritual fasting exercise discover that it has unexpected benefits. – Lovingly, Rev. John

The Healing Word
Replace error thoughts and feelings with positive, loving, life-giving thoughts and feelings. Lift your thinking above the apparent condition. Refuse to give it any power. Accept that God’s infinite life is within you, restoring and renewing you, and making you whole in every way. The more you do this and believe it is so, the quicker and easier healing is experienced. Remember: With God ALL things are possible. This includes your perfect health.
The Prospering Word
There is a law of mind that governs what you experience in life. When you think and speak in terms of lack and limitation, focusing upon what you apparently do not have, you cause more lack and limitation to appear. Your desire is to experience more of God’s rich good. That is why you are wise to switch your focus from what you seem to lack to the blessings you now have and give thanks for the rich good now on its way to you. Like attracts like. What you hold in mind draws its likeness to you. Fill your mind with love, faith, richness, peace and gratitude, and you will enjoy a more prosperous life.
