Eric Butterworth wrote the following in his book, In the Flow of Life. A man sat brooding at his desk one evening after receiving his dismissal notice from a company he had served for more than twenty years. He was reflecting in despair on the difficulty of getting another job at his age, the impossible task of living on his income, and the shock of feeling that he was no longer needed, that he was useless.
He noticed a spider on the desk and unconsciously brushed it off. Suddenly he was watching in awe as the tiny creature automatically spun a strand to bear his weight and swung gracefully to the floor. He began to wonder: If this tiny creature could get into the flow of a mysterious resource and deal s0 creatively with its crisis, then why could he not do the same?
The answer came dramatically: He must have gotten out of his own natural flow or this situation could not have come to him. The fact that he was so disturbed by it proved this to be true. Now, getting himself synchronized in consciousness with the flow in the realization that his good did not come to him but through him might not get his job back, but it would most certainly move him inexorably forward to something better.
With a new consciousness of the flow and with mind and body processes synchronized with the flow, the man went on to new security and creativity. He had always longed for the opportunity to write. Now was his chance, and write he did! Not that he became a Hemingway, but he wrote and sold much of what he wrote. And along with his retirement income, he managed to achieve an economic security that he had never known. All this happened because he was now consciously and joyously in the flow.

Golden Keys to Answered Prayer
You are wise to align yourself with the Power of God through prayer and meditation. Open your mind and heart to the wisdom of the universe. Remember: “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” With this realization, you find the strength to let go of anything holding you back.
Letting go and letting God is a wise and beneficial choice. It empowers you to move forward with ease and confidence. It gives you peace of mind and the assurance that all is in divine order. As you let go and let God you open the door to infinite possibilities, you are then genuinely in the flow of life.

A Little Humor . . .
A young preacher was called to a rural church and appeared for his first sermon that Sunday. To his dismay he found that one of the parishioners had brought his dog to the service. He asked the dog’s owner to kindly remove the animal. The man obligingly took the dog out and returned to his seat.
After the service, the church deacons rebuked the new preacher for insulting one of their staunchest members. The dog made no trouble they pointed out, and had been accompanying its master to church for many years. The preacher called on the dog’s owner and apologized.
“Don’t worry about it Reverend”, the man replied. “I wouldn’t have had my dog hear that sermon for anything in the world!” – Jeff MacNelly
