New Year’s Tip
Now, at the beginning of the New Year, is a good time to release and let go of last year and all that it was. You probably wouldn’t drag a heavy sack of trash around with you, but that is what happens when unhappy experiences, angry feelings, regrets, or ideas that no longer serve you are carried into the new year.
Remember Lot’s wife. When she and her husband were leaving Sodom with all its war and misery, she was told to go and not look back. Unfortunately, she did look back and turned into a pillar of salt. Metaphysically, this means that she became crystallized in her thinking and was stuck there.
To have new experiences, to move forward uninhibited, you must release old ways of thinking and doing. Rather than hanging on to ways that may not have been productive, release them and let them go.
It is often easy, it seems, to fall into a rut of thinking in the same way, while expecting things to be better. It just doesn’t work that way. To move into healthy living, it is much easier when you give up old, wrong concepts such as beliefs in sickness, pain and misery as realities. They are not real. Change your belief to the reality that God is the only presence and power in your mind and body.
One time a man got into a boat and began rowing toward the middle of the lake. He rowed hard until he realized the boat wasn’t moving. Looking about, he learned that he had forgotten to pull up the anchor!
Pull up the anchor! Let go of whatever has held you back. Determine to use the wisdom, love, life, strength and power given to you by God. Let go, let God, and move on! – Namaste! – Rev. John
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
– Isaiah 43:18

In the Mail . . .
Let go of restrictions! – Thank you for your warm and personal e-mail. I am learning daily that God is indeed on my side and I only have to let go and let God have His perfect way within myself and in my life. Through this I have let go of restrictions that I had placed on myself. It’s interesting how we try to confine ourselves to self-imposed limitations.
Thankfully, I don’t do that anymore. It is great to be free! I am so grateful for your help. Kindly keep praying with me. My thankful tithe is enclosed. – R. M. in California
A Little Humor . . .
My sister’s lack of sports knowledge recently became evident when we attended pro-hockey game. After one of the home players scored, the crowed screamed and the monitors around the rink flashed: “G O A L.” After cheering wildly, my sister turned and asked, “Who’s Al?”
