Here Are Some Suggestions for Making Christmas a Truly Happy One
– By Rev. John Adams
We often wish others “Merry Christmas!” during this beautiful season, but how do you really have a very merry Christmas. Too often there is too much rushing around trying to take in the parties, buy gifts, and trying to make Christmas just right. Also, some people experience challenges that cause them to worry and to even experience sadness.
Here are some suggestions for making this Christmas a truly happy one.
#1. The first thing each morning, take time for quite meditation and prayer in which you completely relax and think only of the peaceful, loving, wise and supportive Presence of God in you.
#2. Affirm that God is guiding you in everything you do every moment of the day.
#3. Give thanks that you are positively alive, happy, well, and divinely provided for.
#4. Act as though this is really so in all that you do through the day.
#5. When you drive, know that you are divinely protected and everyone else is, too. Be patient in lines of traffic. Give thanks that you will get to your destination safely and on time. Give other drivers a friendly wave, and remember to let someone into the line.
#6. Be patient while shopping. If you must wait in a line, quietly bless everyone else there, too, including store clerks.
#7. Turn the Golden Key: “Golden Key” problems and people. Rather than focusing on difficulties, focus the great energy of your mind on God.
#8. Invite your angels to guide you in purchasing the right gifts for friends and loved ones.
#9. Be kind to clerks, fellow shoppers, and everyone!
#10. Let bright sparkling light remind you of the Christ Light that shines in you and everyone.
#11. Most of all, remember that the best gift for Christmas and all other blessed occasions, is Love. Love yourself. Love everyone. Send love to all people everywhere. It costs nothing but brings the best rewards.
Love enough and this Christmas will be a truly merry one for you! Do this every day and your life will be happier in every way. Merry Christmas! – Lovingly, Rev. John
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
– I John 4:16

The Gifts That Matter Most
– By Rev. Tina Brown
We have just moved out of the traditional Thanksgiving season and are now moving into the Christmas season of Love, Hope, Peace and Joy! Tis the season to be Jolly, festivities are in the air, shopping, dining, parties, celebrations and giving of gifts!
We give gifts of toys to children, of all ages, electronics, clothing, jewelry and on and on! Sometimes we take the time for something a little more personal with homemade goodies, candies and cookies. We send holiday greeting cards to friends and family. We give more time to our churches for holiday programs, school plays and special performances. We treat our families with special decorations to enhance the excitement of the season.
These activities and things we give and do are all wonderful and exciting and bring much joy into our lives. Let us not allow the hustle and the bustle of the season to be a source of stress and overwhelm. Instead, be of good cheer! Celebrate the birth of the Christ in new and profound ways!
I invite you to look at the gift of giving in a new way this year! The gift that you are and how giving of yourself is truly the greatest gift of all! In I Corinthians, 13:1-13, the writer shares about spiritual gifts, gifts that are within us. The scriptures end with the spiritual gift of love, stating that, “love never fails; the greatest of these is love.” I interpret this to mean that we should use our gifts and talents through a loving consciousness. In other words, no matter what our spiritual gifts or talents and abilities are, they should be shared from the Christ consciousness that is birthed within us. Giving from anything less only serves to build up the ego, not producing the intended result of giving.
As we grow in consciousness and become more aware of the Christ within, we begin to recognize that giving is the true gift of life. Christmas is the celebration of the greatest gift, the birth of Jesus! Jesus’ ministry was that of giving the gift of himself, in many ways. Caring for the poor, the afflicted and downtrodden, healing the sick, many miracles, such as turning water into wine at the wedding feast, making the blind to see, and sharing his profound wisdom and truth through spiritual teaching.
He shared of himself unconditionally, without question or concern of what others were giving, thinking or doing. He gave of himself freely. One of the most important gifts that he gave to this world is the Truth of what we are and what we are to be: The perfect expressions of love, which is another name for God, the Christ consciousness in the world.
Christmas comes but once a year, but the gift that the birth of Jesus has given us, is the gift that celebrates the birth of the Christ in each of us, every day!
As we enjoy the festivities, programs, beautiful gifts, great food and celebrate this joyous season together, let us remember the special gifts that Spirit has so graciously blessed all of us with, that we may give and reach out to those around us and be the gift and blessings in their lives that we came here to be. Remember, you, the authentic you, are the gift and the gift is in the giving of yourself. God bless you all for the gift that you are to me and my family. You have blessed and touched our lives in so many beautiful, loving and wonderful ways.
You are the gift! Your presence and love are the gifts that matter the most! Merry Christmas! – Rev. Tina
Positive Prayer
Golden Keys to Answered Prayer …
When you pray, you are wise to empty your mind and heart of any and all unforgiving, resentful feelings toward anyone. By doing this you are able to feel the loving, wise Presence of God. Be at peace. It is through the peaceful, love-centered heart that God answers your prayers.
Bytes of Wisdom …
Bless us Lord, this Christmas, with quietness of mind; teach us to be patient and always be kind. – Helen Steiner Rice
Christmas is a spirit that flows from one heart to another. It is more precious than rubies and better than gold. – Agnes M. Pharo
(What Is Christmas?) May we not “spend” Christmas or “observe” Christmas, but rather “keep” it. – Peter Marshall
I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he or she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas lights. – Maya Angelou
In the Mail …
Prayer Brings Employment! – Recently, I wrote and asked you to pray with me for employment for myself and my son. I am happy to report that I have received a letter notifying me of an appointment with the Federal Government, for which I am grateful. My son has also been called back to his former place of employment. Thank you for supporting us in prayer. I am so grateful for the Golden Key Ministry! – Louisiana
A Little Humor …
What do lions sing at Christmas?
Jungle bells!
When is a boat like a pile of snow?
When it’s adrift.
How do snowmen get around?
On their icicles.
