How to live a positive, successful life
By Rev. John W. Adams
Richard Dotts wrote:
“Understand that no matter where you are in life right now, your current circumstances did not come about by chance. Instead (and broadly speaking), they are the cumulative effects of our long-held thoughts, actions, feelings, and beliefs. Your thoughts and feelings make up your inner state. In other words, our outer reality today is predicated by your inner world.”

Nothing in your life happens by accident. There is an inner cause. This reaffirms the need to be conscious of your thoughts and feelings. Emmet Fox referred to this in his Mental Equivalent treatise. To live a positive, successful life, you need to create within yourself, the consciousness of positive, success ideas, plus feel the joy of success.
A good way to do this is to give sufficient time to practicing the presence of God in meditation. This is done by being still and release all thought of the outer world and dwell only in God; to feel His presence. When you want to achieve a goal or intention successfully, do not try to figure out how to make anything happen. That is not your job. Let go of all resistance. Lightly hold in mind your intention and allow yourself to feel the of joy of success within you. Leave the outcome to God Who knows exactly how to accomplish everything and is doing so now. – Lovingly,
Rev. John
I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. – Psalm 32:8

Be Renewed!
By Rev. Tina Brown
Easter is a time that we set aside to reflect upon, honor and remember the life of Jesus the Christ and the courage and faith that it took in undergoing the crucifixion. The word crucify means to “subdue passion or selfishness” (Strong’s Concordance), it comes from the Greek word stauroo, which means to extinguish.
As we reflect on and honor this holy event, let us be mindful, that in following Jesus’ teachings it requires us to transform our lives, to have courage and take up our individual crosses, burdens, limiting beliefs, old resentments, past hurts and selfish-ego driven ways that we carry with us, and be willing to do the work, whatever it takes, to let them go…to extinguish or subdue them. To cross them out of our lives once and for all so that we have a new beginning, a renewal of Spirit.
We extinguish more of our “selfishness” through our sincere and authentic desire to grow spiritually and working towards letting go of the personal ego and self-will, by surrendering to Spirit and opening ourselves up to a higher awareness and calling. We know that while each step on our spiritual journey will be an opportunity to deepen our relationship with God, it may also require facing things in life that may appear too difficult or hard to bare. Walking through the releasing
process is not always easy and often takes a great deal of courage, faith and strength.
We are renewed every time we take a step forward on our spiritual journey and begin the process of letting go and trusting God. We must trust that Spirit resides within us, even in our darkest hour. We integrate this Truth into our conscious awareness, through our prayer and meditation work, by expanding our knowledge of God through various classes, teachings, and of course, by coming together as children of God and supporting one another through love, compassion and forgiveness.
The wonderful message of Easter is that the crucifixion leads to the resurrection, or renewal, of our awareness of the Christ Spirit within us. It gives us hope that as we work to extinguish our selfishness, we open ourselves up to a profound knowing of our loving Heavenly Father expressing through us.
My prayer for you is that during this holy season you experience the full blessing of what Easter symbolizes for each of us. That you will give yourself the permission to surrender to the Holy Spirit, releasing and letting go of whatever it is that is holding you back, affirming within yourself, “it is finished”! Allow yourself to be renewed and awakened to the powerful, courageous, strong, committed, passionate, trusting and loving Christ Spirit that Jesus demonstrated through this sacred Easter experience. Remember, that same Christ Spirit is within you. I behold the Christ Spirit in you. Blessings of Love and Light, Rev. Tina

Golden Keys to Answered Prayer …
Because God is all-knowing, it is unnecessary to keep telling God what you want. He already knows. Your part is to be at peace in the assurance that God is always “on the job” and is answering your prayer. By being at peace, God has a clear channel (your mind and heart) through which to bless you with even greater good.
Prayer Requests
In the Mail …
Health Improves! – I wrote and asked you to pray with me regarding a heart condition. Two weeks ago, my doctor told me there was significant improvement, with nothing to be concerned about. We were both very happy. I am so thankful for your prayer support. – B. N. in New York
Bytes of Wisdom …
Think like a man of action; act like a man of thought. – Henri Bergson
Whatever you put into your memory mind through habitual thinking; that will ultimately manifest in your life. – Adolf N. Meyer
A four-word formula for success: Make Yourself More Useful. When we get our false beliefs out of the way of God’s intention for us, health, abundance, peace, and harmony can flow through all that we are and through our affairs. Standing in Truth is the solution to problems everywhere in the world. – Nora Boyd
A Little Humor …
My three-year-old daughter stuck out her hand and said, “Look at the fly I killed, Mommy.”
Since she was eating a juicy pickle at the time, I thrust her hands under the faucet and washed them with antibacterial soap.
After sitting her down to finish her pickle, I asked, with a touch of awe, “How did you kill that fly all by yourself?”
Between bites, she said, “I hit it with my pickle.” – Cindy Yates
