During my first four-week study session at Unity School of Christianity, I had the good fortune to be there during Easter and to have Dr. Herbert Hunt as my teacher of New Testament. Dr. Hunt was one of the most enlightened Bible scholars of our time and with his wonderful sense of humor and spiritual understanding, he made the Easter experience come to life for everyone in the class. He made it seem as though we were there reliving the experience again. (Quite possibly, that was really true for some of us.)
Dr. Hunt helped me to understand Easter and to see it in a new light which made it relevant to daily life.
It was April and the trees, shrubs and flowers were beginning to burst forth with new beauty, making it even more enjoyable to be at Unity Village. Then, and many times since, I have walked miles around the spacious grounds there and they have never failed to help me feel even closer to God and to behold His glorious, beautiful expression in all of life.
Each person incarnating here on earth, brings with him or her, all they need for health, happiness, success, peace of mind, and unlimited wealth. We need not look outside ourselves. Jesus, the great Prosperity Teacher, demonstrated very conclusively through the Easter experience, the divinity of man; that Life is; that no matter what happens, everything will turn out right – even better than before, or what might be expected. Jesus did not let being put in a tomb limit him, and neither should you.
If you’ve been in a “tomb” of depression, lack or personal challenge, now is the time to break out and live. Just like Jesus, you have resurrecting power.
During a recession, a businessman used his Easter experience to increase his prosperity by declaring: “Through the resurrecting Power of the Christ in me, the stone of limitation is rolled away and I quickly move into my expanded rich good!” He did move quickly and easily into even greater prosperity than he’d known before. He refused to allow himself to be kept down and neither should you. Choose now to be fully alive, rich and free, and let Easter be a truly prospering time for you, now, and every day! – Lovingly, Rev. John

A Little Humor. . .
Dad criticized the sermon. Mother thought the organist made a lot of mistakes. Sister didn’t like the choir’s singing. But they all stopped complaining when little Jimmy spoke up: “Well, it was still a pretty good show for a dollar!”
A preacher who was popular with his congregation explained his success as the result of a silent prayer that he offered each time before he began speaking. It ran thus: “Lord, fill my mouth with worthwhile stuff, and nudge me when I’ve said enough.”
