The Answer
When for a purpose
I had prayed and prayed
Until my words seemed worn and bare
With anxious use,
And I had knocked and asked and knocked and
asked again,
And all my fervor and persistence brought no hope,
I paused to give my weary brain a rest
And ceased my anxious human cry.
In that still moment,
After self had tried and failed,
There came a glorious vision of God’s power,
And, lo, my prayer was answered in that hour. – Lowell Fillmore
The above poem by Lowell Fillmore, son of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, co-founders of Unity, teaches an important lesson about prayer. It is saying to, pray easy. The purpose of prayer is not to keep telling God what you want or for Him to do, but to state and release your heart’s desires knowing that God has heard you, as He always does, and the answer is forthcoming.
The effective way to pray is to state your case, so-to-speak, and then let it go. An even better way is to positively and prayerfully affirm that what you desire is yours now, then let go and act as though it is already so.
God always hears every prayer because God is within you as infinite love, wisdom, intelligence. His loving spirit pervades your entire being and cannot help but respond to your prayer of faith. After you speak your word, let go and let God. It frees your mind from the stress and strain of trying to solve problems yourself. By doing this, you open the way for The Answer to come more easily in God’s own good way. Depend on it! – Lovingly, Rev. John
This Week’s Golden Key Positive Prayer: In faith, I speak my word and let go and let God. God is in charge and all is well. Thankfully, The Answer is revealed to me now.
Depending on your desire to prosper, declare the above prayer 50 to 100 times every day for at least a week. Expect something wonderful to happen, and it will!

The Healing Word
Christian healing means more than patching up a broken body. It means restoring a body to its God planned perfection – the harmonious manifestation of God’s perfect man in a physical body.
God’s desire for you is to manifest perfection in your body so that you can truly be His happy, healthy child.
Affirmative prayer is your first step in seeking God and His kingdom. By using affirmations of Truth you pray constructively, as you should. God is your health; and when you believe this, His healing power works freely through you. – Adapted from Health, Wealth, and Happiness by Lowell Fillmore

A Farmer’s Love Letter:
My sweet potato, do you carrot all for me? You are the apple of my eye, with your radish hair and turnip nose. My heart beets for you. My love for you is as strong as onions. If we cantaloupe, lettuce marry, and we will be a happy pear.
