“Thank you” are two powerful words and when spoken with sincerity from the heart, they carry the energy of love. True “thank you” is the expression of gratitude. Spoken from a truly grateful heart, these words have the power to connect people together. It is good business sense to express gratitude to customers for shopping there because it helps to keep them coming back and to prosper a business.
Someone I know attended a new church a couple of times and enjoyed it both times. Being a tither, he gave substantial tithes because he felt spiritually fed. However, he never received a “Thank You” acknowledging his gifts. Before long the church closed its doors. If other people’s financial gifts were not acknowledged, it is little wonder that the church failed.
Everyone likes to be praised and appreciated. When it is done genuinely, it lifts others’ spirits and makes them feel worth while. Dale Carnegie, of How to Win Friends and Influence People fame, said to speak up with praise and appreciation. How well do you do this?
Recently, I visited a big Arts Festival in Fountain Hills, AZ. I love to look at the handmade items and talk with the artists. If I like what I see, I let them know that they do good work and thank them for doing it.
November 26th is Thanksgiving Day in America. But thanksgiving should be every day. Each day we should look for something and someone to praise and appreciate, and speak up with the same. Our world would be more peaceful if more people would express praise and appreciation to other people and genuinely thank them for being the God-Creations they are.
I am grateful for you, dear friend! Thank you for being you, and for adding love, joy and peace to our world. Happy Thanksgiving! – Lovingly, Rev. John

A Little Humor. . .
My daughter and her finance met with our parish priest for a premarital conference. After discussing the joys and tribulations of marriage, Father Anderson turned to my future son-in-law. “Greg,” he said seriously, “do you have any reservations?” Smiling at my daughter, Greg replied, “Yes, father, we do. In Cancun, Mexico.” – Maggie Hedrick
