Unity’s Third Spiritual Principle
We are co-creators with God
By Rev. Michelle M. Abraham
In Unity, our third spiritual principle is “We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind”. In essence, our thoughts are energy, we are energy, and what we think is what we will attract.
Sometimes we get so caught up in our “thinking” we miss out on all the good happening in our lives right now. I don’t know about you, but my thinking isn’t always for my best welfare. That kind of thinking I like to call “Stinking Thinking”. Can any of you relate to this? You know, the kind of thinking that causes us to have headaches, stomach aches, heart aches, body aches, and the aches can go on. This kind of thinking doesn’t serve us or the people around us. Why do we say horrible things to ourselves and even to those we love? Is it because we are embarrassed, ashamed, angry, or because we feel helpless? Or maybe it’s built-up resentments we have for someone else?
We might not see it right away, but having thoughts that are not of love, kindness, or even happiness can keep us stuck in the past and prevent us to live our lives now! Releasing these types of thoughts and aligning ourself with God thoughts can liberate us, shift our consciousness and move us into the life we desire. A life and state of mind where our bodies, minds and souls are free! Welcome to freedom!
Affirm with me: My thoughts are of love, I am love! God is love, we are love!
Lovingly, Rev Michelle
This issue of our Positive Living newsletter also shared a story about that first appeared on this website some years ago. Here is a link to that article, There Is Nothing to Fear.

There is nothing to fear. God is Love, and Love is here!
Bites of Wisdom
Freedom is man’s capacity to take a hand in his own development. It is our capacity to mold ourselves. — Rollo May
Courage, contrary to popular belief, is not the absence of fear. Courage is the wisdom to act in spite of fear. — John-Roger and Peter McWilliams (Do It! Let’s Get Off our Buts)
Forgiveness is the key to action and freedom. — Hannah Arendt
Courage is reclaiming your life after a devastating event robs you of your confidence and self-esteem. It is facing tomorrow with a firm resolve to reach deep within yourself to find another strength, another talent … It is taking yourself to another level of your own existence where you are once again whole, productive, special… – Catherine Britton
A Little Humor
A NYC taxi driver died and found himself at the pearly gates. When St. Peter, the gate-keeper, asked him what he did on earth, the driver told him. St. Peter said, “That’s great, enter.” He was royally treated. Soon, a priest was there and said he had talked to people and prayed with them. St. Peter told him he could enter, but not given royal treatment. When he inquired as to why the taxi-driver was treated better, he was told, “when you did your thing, people went to sleep, but when the taxi-driver drove them, they prayed!”
