The Correct Use of I AM
Before I was introduced to Unity about sixty years ago, I had no clue as to the correct use of my I am. I often would say, “I am sick.” “I am tired.” or, angry, unworthy, undeserving, dumb, stupid. Then, it didn’t matter to me. Because of my ignorance, I helped to create all manner of unhappiness, sickness, lack and limitation for myself. I am so grateful that I found the Unity way of thinking and living.
I learned that I am is my spiritual identity, therefore, whatever I connected my I am to, tended to be produced in my body and life. That was a real wake-up call! Thankfully, through Unity, I learned to connect my I am to healthy, happy, peaceful and prospering words.
What about you? I suggest, for at least one day, pay attention to what you are connecting your I am to. If you catch yourself saying, “I am sick,” “I am tired,” immediately switch that to, “I am well, I am healthy, I am strong.” As a spiritual being, that is absolutely true about you. Keep it going for another day, and another.
Jesus said, “Be still and know that I am God.” He was not just referring to himself, but to you and me and everyone. Take a few moments, close your eyes, then quietly repeat over and over: “Be still and know that I am God.” Especially focus on “I am God,” and allow yourself to feel the power of this.
Yes, your I am is mighty powerful to create for you the life you love including radiant health, happiness, abundant peace and prosperity. Good happens as you connect your I am to right words. – Lovingly, Rev. John
My eyes are awake to each watch of the night, that I may meditate
on your promise – Psalm 119:148

Golden Keys to Answered Prayer …
Before you begin a prayer time, be still for a few moments as you clear your mind of worldly things, fearful thoughts, and any angry unforgiving thoughts. Breathe deep as you allow the loving presence of God to fill your mind and whole being. Then know that God, in you, is listening and is answering your prayer even as you pray. Lovingly close your prayer with, “Thank You, God, I am grateful.”

Golden Keying brings Prosperity! – As you instructed, I Golden Keyed a seemingly serious lack attack I was having. Almost immediately, I received enough money to take care of some very pressing bills. Also, I was offered a better job that will give me a much larger income. I have begun to tithe and it is surprising how much better I feel knowing that I have God as my Partner. I believe it is working already. Happily I am sending to you, my first tithe check. Thank you. You are a big help. – V. R. – Nevada
