When you get your thinking and feeling aligned with the divine flow of Universal Energy, miracles happen. Alignment is the key. Sometimes miracles come in ways you may not expect, but they DO come! And, occasionally, they are demonstrations of God’s great sense of humor! Consider the following miracle report received on May 10th from a lovely lady I’ve known for many years.
“I wanted to tell you of my miracle on Sunday (Mother’s Day). I awoke that morning feeling frustrated, lonely and kind of hopeless and had a good cry. I was just diagnosed with anemia so I have been tired and lacking in energy to do anything or go anywhere. I was also apparently entertaining old feelings of not being good enough. In my morning prayers, I asked for a miracle that would allow me to feel good about myself and my life now.
“I went to church and appreciated the message, but was still feeling sad and lonely. Then I went to my daughter’s home where her husband and my granddaughter prepared the meal, which was delicious. It was gratifying to be with my family, but I was still feeling the same.
“Later, my daughter and I went out on the patio to chat. There the miracle began. She filled me with so many warm fuzzies about the good I have brought into her life and the life of others that I began to feel totally validated and loved. I could feel a radical change in my feeling level. Yay!
“After a while my daughter said she had to go to visit her grandmother-in-law. We got up to leave and as I walked forward, I was affirming aloud, “I am happy, joyous and free.” As I got out the word “free” I didn’t remember a step that was there and went flying.
“Second miracle: I didn’t hit the concrete. I went head over heels into the pool, with clothes, shoes, and watch on, my glass of water and a book in hand! It was like a second baptism and we all laughed about how I could fly!
“Third miracle: In the last year or so I’ve gotten to be the same size as my daughter. She had just told me she had a pair of shorts that didn’t fit right and wanted me to have them. Her grandmother-in-law had just given her some shirts to give to me, so with just the borrowing of a pair of underwear, I was able to have dry clothes. My Mother’s Day gift was two pair of slippers, so the shoe problem was solved.
“I had awakened sad, lonely, frustrated and crying. I went to bed that night feeling on top of the world, and laughing. I consider that quite a miracle. Thanks for including me on the miracle list.” H.M. in Phoenix, AZ
Yes, miracles DO happen! They happen when you believe they are happening and leave yourself open for them to happen in God’s own good, sometimes hilarious way. The above is a story I will treasure for a long time. I trust you got a good laugh out it, too! Lovingly, Rev. John

Bytes of Wisdom. . .
Men talk about Bible miracles because there is no miracle in their lives. Cease to gnaw that crust. There is ripe fruit over your head. – Henry David Thoreau
The miracles of nature do not seem like miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world. Anonymous
Miracles, in the sense of phenomena we cannot explain, surround us on every hand: life itself is the miracle of miracles. – George Bernard Shaw
A Little Humor. . .
A group of guys are in the locker room when a cell phone rings. One of them picks it up.
Man: “Hello,”
Woman: “Honey, it’s me. Are you at the club?”
Man: “Yes.”
Woman: “Well, I have news. The house we wanted is back on the market. They’re asking $950,000 for it.”
Man: “Well then, go ahead and make an offer, but make it $1.2 million so we’ll be sure and get it.”
Woman: “Okay. I’ll see you later. I love you.”
Man: “Bye. I love you too.”
The man hangs up. Then he asks, “Anyone know whose phone this is?” – Denise Stewart
