How to Have a Positive Future
Now, at the beginning of the New Year, it is good to open your mind and heart to even greater and richer blessings than you have accepted so far. Regardless of what happened in the past year, or in your life, only what is happening now is of real importance.
Do not try to live in the past or future. You are wise to have goals and plans for the future, but live today. “With God ALL things are possible.” Decide now you will experience a very prosperous tomorrow because you are no longer lingering in past mistakes or regrets, nor are you hanging on to past glories, either. You are living NOW!
A Positive Future depends upon Positive Beliefs and Actions NOW, so start today. Today you are doing the very best you can with what you have to work with now, give thanks for this, and have GREAT EXPECTATIONS of God’s highest good for you.
One time as I watched a TV talk show, I listened to a very successful young actress who was the star of a highly-rated weekly series. She said that she writes her goals list every day. She knows what she wants to accomplish and by writing her goals every day, it helps to keep her faithful subconscious mind informed and it in turn works for her to achieve those things. What kind of information are you giving your subconscious mind?
Boldly set lofty goals. They may seem out of reach to some people, but they are your goals, not theirs. If you believe you can achieve them, you probably will. Dare to step out in faith with great enthusiasm and DO what is required of you to have the desires of your heart.
Faith is essential to success. Have faith in yourself, in God within you, and in what you are doing. Thus you work in harmony with the Law of Attraction. Believe you will succeed and your subconscious mind will gather everything to you everything you need for great success. If, sometimes, there appears to be no way, affirm: There is a way. God always opens the way when I keep my faith strong and securely grounded in Him and have great expectations.
A young insurance executive in New York wrote to me to say, “I am happy to report that everything worked out perfectly as you joined with me in “Golden Keying” this divine change in my life. That is how my perfect new residence came to me, and my business has continued to grow and prosper. I’ve been affirming: The Universal flood gates of prosperity burst open wide, pouring large sums of money into my life now!
“This affirmation really worked for me, is now a part of my feeling nature, and I live my daily life by it. Enclosed is my grateful tithe, which you notice is larger than before.”
Have Great Expectations! Accept 2012 as the year for your prosperity dreams to come true. Open your mind and heart to more of God’s rich good for you. It is greater than you have imagined, so far. Gratefully accept that God is now giving you everything you need, and more, to have an exceptionally wonderful prosperous year. – Lovingly, Rev. John
Write Your Letter to God
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, wrote: “Sometimes I have written to God when I have wanted to be sure that something would have divine consideration and love and attention. I have written the letter in the assurance that the eyes of the loving and all-wise Father were seeing my letter, knowing my heart and working to open ways to bless me and help me to grow.
“I suggest that you write a Letter to God, putting into words, that which your heart holds and hopes for. Have faith that God is seeing your letter and your heart, and that there is wisdom and power and freedom and love to accomplish that which will meet your needs. After you have placed your desires with God, do not be anxious or worried. Busy yourself with the work He gives, and with study and prayer to develop yourself. As you do so you become the radiating center that will draw to you whatever you need to be well, strong, prosperous and happy.”
For the Letter to God instructions, please write and ask and we’ll send them to you.
Right Desire – First step on the Prosperity Road
There is nothing weak or lukewarm about true desire. It is intense and powerful. If properly developed and expressed, a strong desire always carries with it the power for success. The stronger your desire for good, the greater is the power of your desires to produce that good for you. Right desire is truly the first step in solving problems and getting on the road to prosperity.
You can release your deep-seated desires for prosperity and success by centering your attention on one big goal at a time. One big goal always includes a number of smaller desires that are automatically fulfilled when the big one is achieved. You influence people and events by having great desires and great goals. Everything and everybody subconsciously tunes in to your big desires and goals, and comes to help you achieve them. – Adapted from: The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder.
